Riverside Superspar also has a nice range of fresh fruit and vegetables available. The fruit section includes bananas, apples, plums, oranges, lemons and limes among others. The vegetable department has butternut, potatos, lettuces, cucumbers and onions, to name just a few.
The Cheese counter would satisfy even the most discerning customer with its vast array of cheeses from all over the world. You will certainly have a hard time choosing your favourite cheese from the selections of Cheddar, Gouda, Rochefort, Brie, Camembert, Mozzarella, Provolone and Emmental among others. Also at the Cheese counter you will find many different types of imported olive oils. Riverside Superspar has a meat department with a large variety of fresh meat. You can stock up for your next braai with sosatis (kebabs) of all flavours and sorts, chops and boerewors. There are roasts to suit all tastes and pockets and the staff are always ready and willing to assist with special packs. The blue and yellow/orange wors was a big hit during the Bulls/Cheetahs match weekend
The bakery at Riverside Spar has a range of breads, pastries and cakes worthy of the highest praise. The cakes, from big to small look almost too good to eat. The staff have a very creative flair as evidenced by the recent Bulls and Cheetahs cakes and coloured rolls made for the match weekend. Customers have a wide choice of breads and rolls, from the usual mass produced products to the more specialised paninis, ryes and rolls. There is also a large range of fresh baked biscuits and treats.
Along with Tops at Spar there is a nice selection of wines in store. Stuck as to which wine goes with which meat? Never fear Riverside Superspar is here, the touch screen wine selector is a great idea.
